Dear Parents,
In preparation for the future of our school and in hopes of offering the greatest opportunities for our students’ futures, we are pleased to announce a number of things that are exciting for our school.
First, we are pleased to announce that Mr. Ron Carroll has officially accepted the position, and has already begun his transition from District Safety Coordinator to becoming our Secondary Principal in Arlington. Mr. Carroll will lead the students and teaching staff from 6th through 12th grades, and Mrs. Morrison will lead the Kindergarten through 5th grades. This split of the campuses is a natural step as we manage growth and the addition of new programs.
Second, we have been approved by the Texas Education Agency for an additional campus site in Arlington. We have entered the negotiation phase for an amazing new facility where our students and staff will have room to grow and we would be equipped to offer a number of new programs for our students.
Third, we have requested that our athletics programs be added to the next UIL district alignments, meaning that our student athletes would be aligned in a district just as our surrounding schools and will compete in the University Interscholastic League. This will offer our students the opportunity to excel and compete for playoff spots in pursuit of the elusive state championships.
If all goes as expected, we will move the secondary students, as mentioned above, to the new facility for the beginning of our next school year, 2020-2021.
