Diagnostician
Texas Leadership will have an opening for a Diagnostician to serve our Arlington-Cedar Hill campuses in the 2021-22 school year.

This individual will assist with individual evaluations, special education compliance documentation, and will provide information to help with decision making for special education students during IEP meetings. The diagnostician will also need to communicate and work cooperatively with parents and staff about students' individual needs and the program.

Strong organizational skills are vital to this position in order for the campus/district special education program to stay in compliance with state and federal laws.
 
The candidate must have a valid Diagnostician certification or other equivalent certifications.
Salary is commensurate with experience in education but will begin at approximately $55,000.

School Nurse
Texas Leadership in Arlington-Cedar Hill will have an opening for a school nurse (registered nurse) in the 2021-22 school year.

This position will provide students, and staff as needed, with health services and incorporate students into health education programs. The school nurse will also teach preventive health practices to both students and staff and oversee any licensed vocational school nurses as assigned.

The candidate must have a nursing degree and nursing experience. School nursing is a plus, but not required. Being certified in vision and scoliosis screening is preferred, but not required.

Salary is commensurate with experience but will begin at approximately $45,000.

Secondary Professional School Counselor
Texas Leadership in the Arlington-Cedar Hill area has an opening for a secondary professional school counselor. The position will open in June 2021.
 
The school counselor will work with school faculty and staff, students, parents, and community to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program. The position will also counsel students to fully develop each student’s academic, career, personal, and social abilities and address the needs of special populations and facilitate a successful transition of high school students to college or the workforce.
 
A Master’s degree in guidance counseling and a valid Texas counseling certificate are required for this position.
 
Salary is commensurate with experience. There is a $5,000 stipend attached.

Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist
Texas Leadership Charter Academy is seeking a part-time speech-language pathologist. The speech pathologist will plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students’ ability to derive full benefit from the educational program. Applicant must have a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university. A valid license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) or Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate is required.

Substitute Teacher

Texas Leadership Charter Academy is seeking dynamic Substitute Teachers to assist our District in various roles, as needed. Responsibilities include adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher. Follow procedures and achieve lesson goals. Explain, and assign homework, and oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria.

Maintenance Staff

TLCA Arlington is seeking full-time maintenance personnel. This position is responsible for the daily repairs of various items (doors, locks, furniture, drains, etc.) at the school as well as other emergency situations, which may occur at any of our TLCA district facilities. This position includes heavy lifting as well as carrying, pushing and pulling heavy objects.
