Dear Eagle Family, 11/20/2020
Parents, students, and staff…
Our District Administration met this morning and in trying to do all we can to help you stay safe, and to give us a realistic idea of where we are in terms of how this virus has impacted us, we are extending the Thanksgiving break two additional days. This gives us 11 calendar days which could prove to be very beneficial with the extra time for separation. Please mark your calendars appropriately.
We will now return to normal school operations on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020, instead of November 30th. We hope these two days will help us in gathering data with regard to the impact on our teaching and administrative staff, as well as some needed planning time.
Our athletics teams will have completed their two-week shut-down this Sunday. They will be allowed to resume athletic competitions this coming week. We will be monitoring this closely. Parents, students, and staff, please be aware that if you plan to attend a game in one of our gyms (district-wide) we will require that masks be worn the entire time. Many schools across the state are requiring the same, so if you travel to a game please be aware of those requirements.
Staff members, please be aware that there will be a reporting requirement with regards to your health. Mr. Milbourn, our HR Director will be communicating that to you and your principals today.
We hope you all enjoy the additional two days and encourage you to please be safe. Please practice mitigation even through the break. Again, we will now resume normal school operations on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020.
Please be safe and enjoy this Thanksgiving break with your family.
Ron Ledbetter, Superintendent
