Texas Leadership Public Schools honored retiring Superintendent, Ron Ledbetter this week in a ceremony with close family, friends, and colleagues. The District celebrates Mr. Ledbetter's 22 years of service in Education, and 14 years with the school. He was the inaugural Superintendent of Texas Leadership since opening the doors to TLCA San Angelo in 2009 alongside Founder and CEO, Dr. Walt Landers.
Mr. Ledbetter graduated from Ballinger High School in 1981 and continued his education, earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Angelo State University in 2001. He earned his Master’s Degree and Principal certification from Sul Ross University in Alpine, TX shortly thereafter. An accomplished educator and coach, Mr. Ledbetter continued his education and received his Superintendent certification from Angelo State University.
He is an accomplished Teacher, High School Coach, Principal, Superintendent, and has fulfilled many other additional roles in his time with Texas Leadership District Administration. He is well respected by his teachers, students, and the community.
Mr. Ledbetter has been instrumental in helping Texas Leadership Public Schools grow the District to what you see today: campuses in five cities including San Angelo, Abilene, Midland, Arlington and Cedar Hill… and fostering growth of over 3,700 student leaders, while inspiring over 500 employees.
Texas Leadership will continue its mission and vision under the leadership of founder and CEO, Dr. Landers and the school looks forward to continued growth in the days ahead.
