Texas Leadership began in 2009 with a heart and vision by Dr. Walt Landers (Chancellor/CEO) to serve students and families in San Angelo, Texas. The school opened its doors with 84 faculty and staff members, and served 600 students in San Angelo that year. Since then, we have grown to also having schools in Midland, Arlington and Abilene, Texas. Texas Leadership serves thousands of students who proudly call our school campuses "home." This remarkable expansion is truly a testament to the mission and vision of great leaders throughout our organization. The vision to provide a quality education and give parents an educational choice and has been the driving force in the school’s development. Bridge the funding gap

Although Texas Leadership receives state funds for the operation of the school, we lack access to funding through local tax revenues that are available to traditional public schools for capital expenses. Studies show that public charter schools receive significantly less funding than traditional public schools. Therefore, in order to continue and sustain growth and fulfill the vision we are asking parents, grandparents, businesses, community members, foundations and friends to partner with us to bridge the funding gap.
